Project Support Worker

Main Purpose:
This role will help to ensure those experiencing the highest levels of disadvantage, isolation, loneliness and deprivation due to closure of facilities, service cuts, poverty and digital exclusion have access to essential services via the Good Neighbour Scheme. The team will provide practical assistance and volunteer support aimed at maintaining independence in the home and include services such as escorted shopping, accompaniment to GP appointments, prescription collection, befriending, social rehabilitation and assistance to access digital technology.
We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic individual who is capable of working under pressure, providing frontline support services, delivering activities, working with volunteers, raising the profile of the organisation, helping with fundraising and building up rapport/strong community relationships with our service users, partners and stakeholders.
Location: Alfred Street, Neath, SA11 1EH
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Annual leave: 28 days plus statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
Salary: £19,000 p.a.
Term: Initially funded until 31st March 2022 (with opportunity for extension)
